Far superior to Botafogo from the first to the last minute, Flamengo won the classic at Nilton Santos 3-1 this Wednesday. Pedro, Gabigol and Arrascaeta scored the red-black goals. Léo Pereira, against, did Botafogo's. Flamengo had more possession of the ball 55% and more than twice as many shots compared to the rival: 19 to 8.
With the result, the red-blacks returned to second place, now with the same 19 points as Vasco, but with a superior balance (12 to 8). On the white side, there was a lot of complaint. They asked for a penalty from Pedro after touching the ball with his hand and Gabigol's foul in the second red-black goal.
